Plumas Pines Golf Course opened in 1980. The course was designed by Homer Flint.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,421 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,246 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 581 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 15, a par-3 that plays to 153 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 393 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Plumas Pines Golf Course is # 15, the 153 yard par-3.
Edged by the Feather River, the course features sculpted fairways and manicured greens that are fun and challenging for all levels of players. Homer Flint's design incorporates the natural scenery into a great variety of holes that demand careful club selection and accuracy from every tee. The finishing holes on both sides are uphill challenges that reward players with great views from the elevated greens.

Staff is wonderful, pace was a bit slow on Saturday but excellent when we returned on Monday. Overall course has enough challenge to be interesting but not so much to be frustrating.

The best course in the area for the same price is Nakoma (formerly the Dragon), but this is a fun little play. Houses are too close to the fairways, taking away from some of the ambiance, but you can do much worse.

A beautiful vision, with some of the best, most challenging (but fair) holes I've ever played. It is tight, so it helps to hit a straight ball. The staff was the friendliest I've ever encountered, and the food at the upstairs restaurant was as good as I've had at any place, golf course or otherwise. At first, the rates seemed a little high, but given the condition and the fact that it is only open 6 months out of the year, it was very reasonable. I'd like to steal their Supt. from them.
